It is the intention of the HMGS team and Yorkshire Forward to make as much data as possible from the operating HMGS freely available to academics and research institutions investigating the potential use of hydrogen and the implementation of a Hydrogen Economy. This data will be made available, free of charge, to registered users of the HMGS website from January 2008. At the moment this data will include:

1) Wind speed
2) Green electricity generated by the wind turbine
3) Rate of hydrogen generation
4) Pressure in hydrogen store
5) Rate of hydrogen dispensed
6) Green electricity generated by the fuel cell
7) HMGS electricity load

Hydrogen production now started!

As of the 1st February we have the capability to generate and store Hydrogen on site. This can then be used to power the EETC or for refuelling hydrogen cars.

Power Generation

The HMGS can supply 3 Phase mains, 415v, electrical power directly from the onsite wind turbine or the grid synchronised hydrogen fuel cell. In addition, the HMGS can supply high pressure, up to 350bar, hydrogen suitable for refuelling hydrogen vehicles or refilling hydrogen bottles.
