Construction on the Hydrogen Mini Grid System has started with the wind turbine foundations.
Construction of the wind turbine foundations started on the 4th August with the excavation of the 10m by 10m by 2.5m deep pit. A layer of concrete 20cm deep has been laid at the bottom of the hole to prevent it turning into a mud bath. At the top right hand corner of the pit the original borehole can be seen. This has to be grouted and filled in prior to the next stage. The reinforced iron mesh for the foundation will be delivered within the week along with the turbine foundation ring which joins the wind turbine with the foundations.
